I'm sure I'm plenty late for this, but would like to give SOG some props for the aegis. The only other SOG i own is a Seal 2000. That knife is...ok, but nothing to get too excited about. The aegis tho is a home run.
I got mine few weeks ago, and it has performed admirably on a wide variety of tasks including, clearing out the garage of carpets, few boxes, decoy lines and the while without having to spend hours on the stone sharpening it.
Only gripe I have is that the knife is a bit hard to draw out of the pocket, and the clip is a bit shiney.
I've edc a spyderco since I was 14, first time anything else had made it into my pocket in 17 years, but I'm glad I made the switch to the aegis.
Keep up the good work!
