Thumbstud Questions on Small Benza

I have been in the market for a Small Sebenza lately, and I just actually handled one for the first time. Overall quality, was of course, excellent.
The only negative thing I can say about the knife is I feel that the thumbstud should be bigger. I actually have smaller hands too. I have other folders of this size, and they have larger thumbstuds that just feel much better. I would like to know if anyone else feels this way, and also if anything could be done to get a larger thumbstud on the small Sebenza? (I know little about this type of customization). Thanks.

The Sebenza stud takes a little getting used to. Try the "sideways sweep". It doesn't take long for it to become second nature.

Guys,
Here's another novice question. Which blade finish will be more corrosion resistant? Stonewash or polished? Is there much difference in resistance to corrosion? I really like the polished look better.

Only takes a day or two to get used to the stud. The smaller stud doesn't catch on as many things, a big plus if you intend to carry.

I would think a mirror polish is more corrosion-resistant on any blade, but I haven't had a problem with my stone-washed Sebenzas. Maybe you could see a difference under really harsh conditions like salt-water immersion.

I have the Small Sebenza Classic.

As said above, just do a sideways sweep. The unique feature about the CRK thumbstud is that the serrations milled into the side of the stud "catch" the skin on you thumb and lock it in so that you can pull up as you finish the opening instead of having to bear down like on most thumb stud openers.

I find the CRK thumbstud design is equivalent in safety and ease of opening as Spyderholes and thumbdisks.

I always put the tip of my thumb sideways on the stud while keeping my thumb parallel to the handle. Then I use the "sweep method" and pop the blade open. This technique just seems to work for me.

You can always have CRK add the second thumbstud. I find it easier to open with two and I think the knife looks more balanced. A nice tweak.
