where can i find these thingies online? they are really help ful except that i wanna change a few of the thumbstuds on my current knives. thanks for the info. and really is there anyone out there that does think that thumbstud are a hassle?

Hi there,

As a dealer, I sell mostly folders and the majority of those are liner locks.

So the Thumbstuds are a vital issue on these knives.

The only Thumbstuds that seem to be tedious to work are the ones that are too smooth thereby failing to give a good grip on the thumb.

Allen Elishewitz always produces a great Thumbstud with plenty of friction for easy operation.

Recently, he introduced a new innovative larger thumbstud that is a pleasure to open due to it's size and construction.

Have a nice weekend,

Neil

I find the studs to be optimal as long as they are properly located. However the opening discs such as are found on Emerson etc in my opinion are the most useless items to be found in the knife world.YMMV

Hey Dann, where can YOU find MY thumbstuds? Get a few CRKT Ryan Sevens. Take off the thumstuds and you got a great hole that snaps the seven open much better than the studs. Mail them via USPS to Glockman, and wait till he gets the envelope with a corner turn off and no thumbstuds. Then, pull strings, ask a pal who is a US Postal inspector to check into it. Story one was the envelope got stuck in a sorting machine. story two was "some person" thought it was a piece of jewelry. WHO? The moron who work-ED at the sorting HQ in my Home State wearing THUMSTUD EARRINGS....DUH. Take all them thumstuds and make earrings!!!!!! wolf:rolleyes:
