And no, I am not talking about the results of a bad Bloomin Onion from trip to Outback Steak House

Steve Filicietti working bowie (10 inch blade) with Gidgee handle. I ordered and paid for this bad boy a Long, Long time ago and just received it. It was like an early X-mas present.

I asked Steve to make me a working bowie with a single guard. Having large hands, I find some double guards uncomfortable. Well, I didn't have to worry because Steve is one of those people that understands proper blade to handle demensions. It is a super comfortable knife in the hand and the sheath is a swivle type and unbelievable.

My photography skills dont do this one justice!

That is gorgeous. We all know Steve F makes an exceptional blade, but the overall shape and style of this one really appeals to me.

Very nice! The single guard gives it a kind of bowie/camp knife look. I like it! Would love to see a better pic.

As soon as I get back from my folk for the Holiday, I will post bigger pics.

I am getting ready to take it out this morning and I will cut a few things and whack down a limb or two and let you know how it really feels!

Filicetti's knives are usually described as excellent to perfect, so you got yourself a good buy! :)

Let me try this again. I went out with this over the holidays and did some cutting with it. I went through broom stick sized branches like a laser! I love this knife. The sheath is a swivle type and moves out of the way when you sit down. Steve has quickly become one of my favorite makers. This is the second piece I own of his and the user. The other I just look at.

Hey, no fair. Changing the name, and posting the same pic again doesn't count! :p

We want bigger pics! :)

Hey man, don't keep us in suspense !!

Seriously, Steve is one of the best, in fact, he might be Australia's #1 selling maker at the moment ... When you take into account the attention to fit, finish and detail, his skill with mosaic damascus (all of which is working damascus), his lack of equipment and the unparalleled sheaths he makes ... And a nice guy too. That was a great get, Todd. Congrats. Jason.
