Unbelievably to me (because this knife is right up my alley), this knife was refused by a customer last week. It is a 1/8" thick convexed Bushfinger. The steel is 3D Spalted 01. The handle (actually the reason for refusal) is GORGEOUS African Blackwood over natural canvas with a whitewall. The customer wanted something a little lighter in color.

This is a rare knife because it is very tricky for me to not mess up the convex sabergrind on steel this thin. Think of the triangle you are making and how touchy it is, then factor in belt flex. It would be pretty easy as a flat grind, but thin and high aren't conducive to convexes. I won't be making one of these for a while. If you are a slicer, not a pounder, then this knife is for you!!!

$250 shipped. Rick Lowe makes a gorgeous sheagth for these. That you can see here:

Heber makes a bombproof square bottomed sheath for them too. Please coordinate your sheath order directly with them.

1/8" convex? Nice!!! That has to be a sweet user! Nice job Andy...:thumbup:

Wish I had the cake!

A 1/8" convex Bushfinger; I did not know such a beast existed!

I will definitely have to be on the lookout when the next one surfaces...even if it won't be for a while.

Great looking knife, by the way. Good score Blaid.

Good grab, African Blackwood is very nice for knife scales. Sorry that I missed this, as I'm looking for a bushfinger slicer. Friday's coming though, Andy's good for a few suprises. Wenge all the way.

I'll probably be kicking myself in a few months for not picking this up, but waiting is half the fun... or so they tell me :)

I'm glad it got snagged quickly. I had no idea it was such a pain in the butt to get the grind right on these, just means I'll appreciate the "right" knife all the more when it finally does surface :D

Grats on the fine purchase, Blaid!

They really do exist!!!

Here this while time, I thought a high saber grind Bushfinger in 1/8" was just the stuff of legends. Like bigfoot, mermaids, leprechauns, and unicorns. But there you have it, and it already got snagged.

......hey wait a minute! Isn't that just a photoshopped image?! How do we REALLY know it is real??

Yes. They do exsist. Thats what I carry also. Mine has a white over nat handle.

I will take this please

You got it David. I almost kept it. Thank you.

I knew that one would sell. Its just to pretty. We'll get you the right one. No worries.

This...knife...WOW! I am digging the African Blackwood. It is supposedly more weather resistant than Ebony and I love the way it looks. That is a really stylish, classic looking knife...great snag Blaid! I REALLY love the high sabre grind on the thin BF; a little bit of style to compliment the slicing madness haha :) Enjoy your knife!

Really nice one you snagged blaid, that is a beauty. I'm thinking I'm going to be needing a hiking buddy in 1/8 sometime in the near future (and I haven't even received my first, a bushfinger, yet) :o Is this how it starts...;)

Frightening myself, I saw this one come up and had to sit on my hands! I've got my first knife from Andy on its way (Black Ash Bushfinger), currently sitting still whilst custom's decide how much to hit me for:(

Dangerous place this!!

Sam

I had actually been waiting for something like this for a while to show up. Thank you (whoever you are) for not wanting this!

What a score! Congrats!

When I finally have my dough saved up, I hope to snatch up any Andy might painstakingly make again in the future....
