Hey guys,
After making myself more and more crazy I ordered a sebenza with a thuya burl inlay a couple of days ago, a nice 2009 closing gift right
I did some research on the wood before buying it and read a lot about the beauty of it and some nice history. In the end, how it looked sold it. But I am curious what the hardness of the wood really is.
Of course it's high quality, but I read in multiple places that is is soft. Do they prepare the wood in a special way at Chris Reeve? How long will a handle last, if taken care of while using it? Any of you have any experience with thuya burl? I'd love to hear some more about this particular wood and inlays in general.
Man, I can't wait to get it!!!
If it's anything like my umnumzaan my girlfriend is gonna have another week without any attention from my part
