Ti Backpacker

In regards to sharpening this, can we use a normal Lansky turn box? Would it be best to use 20 degree or 25 degree?

Thank you for making a really wonderful and light weight blade.

You sure can, that is a nice setup to sharpen a Backpacker.

I'm not really sure on the angle but 25 degrees on the micro-beveled side should probably be a good start. Just build up a small burr from the beveled side then lightly strop or hone flatly off.

I've tried a lot of different sharpening setups on the Backpacker, just about anything will work. I prefer to use a scrap of sandpaper (120-400 grit will do) to build the tiniest burr then hone with one swipe on the reverse side... then cut a bit of cardboard to refine the edge/remove last of burr.

Most appreciated and do enjoy!

Thank you Daniel.

So I so the 25 on the beveled side and leave the other side alone?

I have a one of the earlier ones. With the Carbide coating on the beveled side.

Looks like the flat side has been sharpened more.

Micro beveled side, always leave the carbide side alone except for stropping/honing.

Thanks again and happy sharpening!
