Any chance in releasing titanium canes with the new year or possibly as a special order. I love the ti sticks but I want something with a longer range and a little more legal. No one can stop you for carrying a cane. I am sure I am not the only one who would buy this perfect type of street defense.

I too would be interested in a Ti cane.

A few months ago James made me a Rigger Coat walking stick that is with me constantly. It is 36" long with a wooden ball on the end that he completely covered with a mixture of black and cobalt Rigger Coat. No one has ever sid anything to this 50 year old about it, other than to say how great looking a stick it is.

All that said, I also would purhcase a Ti cane or walking stick if one was available, just for the variety.

if you wouldn't mind my asking, what did he charge you for that? and do you have a choice of what wood to use? excellent idea, it would really give you a good feel and retention when handling it!

The price was $175 and the workmanship like all of James’ products is superb. I don't know if he could do it with other woods as I asked for rattan.

The walking stick is made out of a 36” long piece of rattan topped off with a wooden ball for a hand grip. James then coated the entire stick and ball with his rigger coat. The ball and top 1/3 of the cane were done in a two tone black and cobalt blue color, while the bottom 2/3 are strictly black rigger coat. The effect is not only beautiful to look at but very practical. The beauty of the rigger coat camouflages the weapon potential of the walking stick, while at the same time giving it a very easy surface to grip that will not slip or turn in the hand. Made out of rattan, the stick is very light which lends itself very nicely to escrima and arnis techniques. Some canes are just plain too heavy and slow for these techniques but this one whips right through them.

I’m 50 years old and have never been stopped anywhere, including airports, for carrying a walking stick.

Re: Fighting Canes

A fighting cane is a wonderful self-defense weapon (and another traditional Korean one). I'd love to see a Blade Rigger version, but there are other makers who put out a great product already. Cold Steel used to make a fighting cane (and for all I know they still do), but the ultimate is CaneMasters who have a whole line. Check out their website www.canemasters.com

All best for the Yuletide!
