I really like this knife, great feel to the handle, doesn't feel like a "metal" handle. but......The ZDP blade is too thick at the edge, for the kind of cutting I do with a 3" blade. Needed to "thin" it down, called Tom Krein, but he had a 2 - 3 week period before he could get to it(I am happy for him that he is busy). Being an antsy person I decided to grind my own, knowing it would not be as beautiful as if Tom had done it. So here it is, looks fair, cuts like a chain saw. Have not tested it yet

Looks more than fair. That's an outstanding job! What grit is the finish? Nice jig--how do you keep the blade from rotating? I only see one point of contact through the blade pivot. Very nice photos also. Thanks

Thanks!
Grit = 40 thru 400, that ZDP is HARD.
The one bolt security works, you don't press hard on the belt, it will cut too fast if you do.

Looks great gullwing -- congrats on the mod. I too find the edge too thick on my Ti Cyclone, but otherwise love the knife.
