I was wondering if you all think this model is much stronger than the standard model? I want to say that I have never had any trouble with the G-10 model. I really like this Ti model and it has the improvements. How do you think the fluted compares to the standard? I have been kinda thinking about a standard Ti model now. Lol I carried the Ti yesterday while I was in the woods yesterday walking the dogs and cut several limbs and briars and it worked great.

Pretty sure Sal said around the time it came out that it was designed to be equal in lock strength to the liner version.

It basically boils down to ti vs g10 (handle) and liner lock vs frame lock. Personally I think either one is strong enough that I won't worry a bit. The blade (the tip) will perhaps break first before any problem of the lock or the handle, under extreme abuse.

I regret selling my plain ti military. After acquiring the fluted ti version I am thinking about buying another plain ti version. I might be in the minority but the plain ti version feels more comfortable in my hand. I think the chamferred edge plus a bit thicker handle of the plain ti contribute to it. With that being said, the fluted ti millie definitely looks more beautiful (and I don't regret buying it).

I wouldn’t worry about either one for strength. I would be a bit conscious of where your finger may rest on the face of the lock bar release when using. If you are doing something with a twisting motion, you can release it.

I just received a Ti fluted military. Great knife! Thanks for all the replys.
