Hey yall,

Ive been drooling over a zt 561 for a while but I really dont need a 3.75" blade, do yall have any suggestions for a ti flipper with a 3-3.5" blade? Perferably $150-200, as I can get a blem 561 for $175.

Thanks in advance

Kershaw Thermite Assisted Hinderer Flipper Spanto Blade @ 3.5 inches. You gotta wait for it, however.

Could always save another $50 and get yourself a Southard. It actually flips better than the 561, IMO and it's much smaller and lighter. Or if you can give up the ti requirement, wait for the 566 to hit stores and get one of those, maybe.

Zt 550
Kinda like the 560 but just enough smaller to make it right at the top end of both your ranges.
Im waiting for the 566 cause i dont mind the stainless framelock and its more in my price range.

The AG russel is interesting but I prefer made in the USA.

The southard does nothing for me, I cant get over how the spyderhole looks.

SOG has disappointed me in the quality department lately, and I will not be purchasing another knife from them anytime soon.

I guess this is coming down to the 550 vs the 560/1.

I like that the 550 is a little smaller but the stock scale would have to go. That bring it to $185 or so (for a blem and a scale) vs $175 for a 561. Also, Im partial to the flipper on the 561.

Can someone post a picture of a 560/1 with a SOG Twitch XL, SOG Visionary 1, or a Benchmade 943?

Thanks for your help, I know Im picky!

Sog's arc lock knives are made in Seki City Japan, they're g2g.

I was always bothered by the aesthetics of the spider hole... until I handled one. If you're in the boat I was, you might get over it. Then again, if that's hit your preference maybe not. Just saying, you might be able to look past it.

I could barely make myself buy one because of the hole. Once I got it, it was all I could do to keep it. Took me a solid month to absolutely decide if it was staying or not, but I'm darn glad I'm keeping it, it's a fantastic knife!
