So my zt 0300 which has been my edc for the last 9 months is devoloping some vertical blade play/lock rock. I find that if i loosen all the screws and the pivot bolt i can push the lock side forward and then tighten everything up which solves the blade play for about a week. my question is do you guys think the the play is from the lock face wearing down or the stop pins/thumb studs "denting" the frame? it seems to me that because 98% of the time the force is on the stop pins that they would be the culprit. But it seems that the general thought is that lockrock is from the lock face. My zt is fairly new and has a steel lockbar insert

Does the lock rock go away if you push the lockbar further in while it is open? If so, you can try to bend the lockbar a bit to make for a later lockup. You'll need to disassemble the knife, and then just push the lockbar a little further in. Make small adjustments at a time.

Or, if you're not comfortable doing that, you can send it into ZT warranty, and they'll fix it up for you.

Oh ive taken it apart many times. its already sitting at about 80 percent or more. I got it about 45 and after the first two days of having it it settled in to about 70 percent and has hardly moved at all.

That is not typical. Send it in and they will take care of you quickly!
