I can't remember where I read it but it said somewhere that Ti is bad for your teeth?

I have two Ti plates in my jaw so I can't see it being THAT bad:D

Anyone know or heard anything about this?

Thanks:thumbup:

Yeah, some Ti messed up my teeth and gums; really hard to chew and swallowing can lead to lacerations in the esophagus and stomach lining :D:D

Just kidding! ;) I Haven't heard anything about that. Ti is used for all kinds of internal body repairs. Ti is pretty non-reactive, so unless you're chewing on it, I can't see what damage it would cause??

You're not supposed to chew the Ti !!! The thing to avoid in your mouth [and body] is two different metals touching or nearby [galvanic corrosion]. Stuff they use in your mouth may include - gold, platinum, amalgam [silver/mercury], nitinol [ nickel/titanium] and others. Introduced materials in your body must not cause allergic reactions, galvanic corrosion, or rejection by the body. I've heard that about 10 % of implants must be removed because of adverse reactions.

:D:D:D...Funny guys

Mete...that makes sense. If you have a load of fillings in your mouth the metals touching could be an issue....like chewing tinfoil:barf::barf::barf:
