I just picked up a titanium handled, S30V bladed, Benchmade 940 today. This is a great knife for the price! It is sharp as heck! Does anybody else have one of these? I hadn't heard much about this knife.

I posted a thread about that very knife last week, because I was looking for more information on it. I saw a picture of it, but I couldn't find any for sale. Where did you get yours? How much did you pay for it?

I got mine at www.gpknives.com. He has them for $145. I like to support him since he is my local B&M dealer. It's nice to actually check out a knife first when I can. They have a pretty diverse selection of limited run Benchmades at this time, check them out.

Nice! Does anyone know if they intend to produce some of these with the other, clip-point blade shape?

You guys are making me druel as I am waiting for my 940TI to come in the mail.

I've had one in my EDC rotation for about 3 weeks. Great knife!!

I did not like the Aluminum handled one because it did not feel very substantial, this one solves that with the added bonus of s30v.

I have had one pass through my hands recently. Great design and execution. It was extremely sharp out of the box, and fit my hand well.

The only problem I had is that I bought it to wear to the office, since it looks so good, but it was a bit too long to wear comfortably inside the waistband. If it hadn't been for that, I wouldn't have sold it. I am hoping the new Buck/Mayo I bought will fit better on my frame for discreet carry.

I love them, I wanted one when we had them but they sold quick and sometimes the customers come 1st but they are sweet, I think the size was just perfect on them for EDC, the blade shape while odd looking is very usefull with a long cutting edge and then a added bonus of a very strong tip, the arc lock made them smooth and strong, Man I wish I had got one :(

Two quick q's

1) What's the latest word on the release date of the 941-Ti? I'm hearing many different dates, but one thing common for all of them is that they are getting pushed back again and again.

2) Can someone please post a picture or a link that shows the "devo hat" spacers that everyone is talking about? I have no clue what it looks like and have not had the chance to see a 940-Ti in person.

Thanks in advance!

Edited because of editing!

I've never really warmed up to the 940 blade shape, but the 941 is one of my all time favs and in one of my pockets right now (dressed up in Carbon Fiber and D2). I think I might have to get one of these Ti models when the clip point model becomes available. With S30V that should be a real winner.

i like the 941 blade much better too and would have bought the CF one if i didn't have a regular one already

I had a matched pair of Red aluminum 941s with a BC1 coated blade (one for the safe and one to carry). I also had a Black 943 (same knife, different color handle, no BC1). Then I held a carbon 941 and had to have it immediately. It changes the knife dramatically for the better. The carbon fiber adds a much more organic feel to the handle and is lighter than the Aluminum handled models. It takes a great design even farther. And the D2 does seem to be a better edge holder than the 154CM on the Aluminum handled models. And the mirror polish and carbon go so well together visually. I still have the red handled safe queen, but I EDC my 941D2CF version all the time. I liked it so much, I sold off the EDC red model and the 943 because I never used them anymore.

I haven't been able to find a titanium handled, S30V bladed, Benchmade 940. I'd like to buy one and don't really want to settle for a 942. Anyone know where I can purchase one? Please help.

I'd like to pick one up myself, but I'm not sure if they are still available. BM should have made this version a regular model.
