I know we've got some Ti nuts around here, my mom picked up a bunch of bracelets (I've been sporting one of these) that's supposed to contain Ti beads or something, she also likes the Ti lotion and the patches. What do yall think about these kinds of products?

Titanium is used to make othopedic and other in vivo parts (stuff that's supposed to be left in the body long-term) because it's proven inert in the body. So, if doctors believe that a Ti screw left inside your body for the rest of your life isn't gonna do anything to you, it's very unlikely that a Ti bracelet worn on the outside of your wrist for a few hours a day is going to do anything either.

Sorry.

I thought that was only done with copper ! The only external use of these things is something like ZnO which makes a good sun blocker. I wonder if TiO does the same. The best pigment for white paint is TiO.

Ti bracelet is not going to give you an allergic reaction like Ni, good enough a reason to use it, it can also be nitrided into a beatifull gold colour, that'll resit scratching for a long while.

TiO is good for a pigment once it's been passivated, in it's active form it'll chop the paint binder apart with sun's UV.

TLM

It will successfully block the sun's damaging UV from the small strip of skin under the bracelet.

It might also conceivably block a knife strike if you did it juuuust right.

Other than that, you will most likely receive no health benefits from wearing a titanium bracelet.

yes TiO2 (not TiO, that isnt the stable oxide) is a pigment used in sunblocks check out Ombrelle and possibly others if you are interested.

Is it coated with snake oil?

No credible benefits seen from and internet search.
