Ti Kershaw Tyrade Question

Hello all. I just received a new Ti Tyrade and I have a question about the lock. For any that own one of these nice knives, is it normal for the lock to "stick?" What I mean by that is that it is hard to unlock once it snaps open. Is there typically a "break-in" period before it becomes easier to unlock?

The only other frame lock I have is a Benchmade Pinnacle, but I've had it for several years now and I don't remember if it ever felt like this Tyrade. Thanks for any help.

On my liner lock version of the Tyrade I had this happen for a second. Put some lube on the forward edge of the liner lock and it was gone.

Yes, they may stick the first few times you open it. I wouldn't put any lube on it. Use graphite. If you don't have any, use a pencil, and just "color in" the face of the lock bar.

What SPX said. Lube can actually make the blade lockup even tighter and harder to release. Take a mechanical pencil and use it to hit the areas where the lockbar and tang make contact. You may have to do this a few times before the lock becomes broken in.

Thanks for the help, guys. I've got plenty of mechanical pencils (being an engineering student), so I'll give that a go. I just have to clean the lube that I've tried, which didn't seem to help. Thanks again!
