Ti-Lock Changes

There is an excellent thread on Seb 25 changes, can we get something similar on the Ti please. Also , what should be considered the introduction date , time wise ,on the Ti?, Thanks, BART 1
 
The Ti-Lock was introduced in 2011. The first 50-60 of the sand blasted frames like the sebenza. After that, CRK went to the stonewashed frame. I am not sure of any other changes. I had one when the first came out ( stonewashed model ) but later sold it. I would like to get another one day. The price point I feel is just a little high. It definitely should not cost more than the sebenza 25 or almost as much as a beautiful inlay 21 sebenza. Just saying. But it is a cool knife no matter how you look at it. CRK Quality through and through.
 
It is on my list of knives to buy, it just keeps getting bumped. Hopefully this year!

I definitely agree with you on the price, they need to bring it down a bit. It's definitely a very cool knife, and it has peaked my interest since it first came out, but I doubt I'll ever end up owning one with all the other knives that are out there.
 
Thanks, so the only difference in the first Ti's is Sand blasted frames on the first 50-60. Is there a CR collectors book in the works like Sheldon and Edna Wickeshams excellent Randall Reference? Someone needs to document it before the facts slip away... I'm sure there are Forum members who could supply photos of any examples that were neede to illustrate ....Surley there's a bored organized CR lover with a mind for detail and a way with words... Besides he ( she!) might get the co-operation of the good folks at CR, Bart1
 
I have my CRK Timeline that I put together for nearly all the knives CRK has put out minus every special run. I do update it as new info as it becomes available. It is near impossible though to list every change for every knife. The rest falls on the long time CRK veterans to post their knowledge.
 
I compared a May 2011 Ti to my May 2013 Ti and the ONLY difference I could see ,was that the CR logo was slightly different. I did not take them down, but externally I could see no other difference. So the Ti was introduced before May 2011 . Does anyone know or care to guess exactly when TI lock was introduced? Thanks, Bart
