I apologize if there are already discussions about this subject but my search brings me to many great reviews but not so much on the actual lock strength. My favorite CRK right now is the Inkosi (yay for the future release of the large Inkosi!). Anyways, I have never been attracted to the Ti-lock up until a few weeks ago when I actually started to take a closer look about what people are saying. It has gotten some rave reviews but not as much written words compared to the other CRK models. The only thing that now stops me from buying one would be the lock strength. I don't baby my knives by any means and most of what I use a knife for are considered above light duty and into the medium duty realm. I don't throw my knives into trees but I do occasionally stab at material when opening cardboard boxes. I read twice somewhere that the lock is basically a heavy-duty slip joint (not sure I can come to the same conclusion, but again I have never experienced one). So with that said, does anyone have any real world experience with the knife and specifically your thoughts on the lock strength? Sorry for the long shpeel, I have one in a cart and want to pull the trigger

Well you never told us if you "pulled the trigger". I have had one for three years. The blade locks, it is not a slipjoint, the blade is fully imovable when locked open, until you decide to push up the lock stud and unlock it.

Darn, I totally forgot to update this thread. I was just about to pull the trigger on one after all the glowing reviews but I decided to wait for the Elemental version to hit retailers. That and I just bought a Large Inkosi today..... but the Elemental is next!

^Nice, I have been eyeing the element as well. A unique version of a unique knife. Talk about unique!
