i have the opportunity to buy a Ti-lock, but now realize they came in several different versions and handle finishes. Is the tumbled handle finish more or less desirable than the blasted finish?

It looks identical to one on Knifecenter. I can't see any difference between the knife you've posted and the same model pictured on Knifecenter.

For whatever that's worth.

If you are in doubt and the seller has no documentatio, I would pass.

It looks real to me, if the price is right, take a chance....

I have not owned one so I have no experience to draw on, but I also haven’t heard if a fake Ti-lock. It’s a complicated design with relatively small numbers produced compared to the sebenza. Seems unlikely to me that someone would put the effort in to make a fake. Fwiw…

There are fake Ti-locks out there, but all the fakes I've seen have clear, distinct differences. Like for example- the fakes I've seen have the word "TITANIUM" where "IDAHO MADE" is on the real version, and the fake has a darker finish. Also, the fake didn't have the CRK logo. There are other differences as well (see video).

I had nothing better to do so I did a deep search for fake/counterfeit Ti-locks, and I didn't find any identical to the knife posted by double gun. I searched the "Big Three" Chinese sites that sell fakes (DHGate, Aliexpress, Wish) and I didn't find any identical to the knife posted either, only the fakes with the clear differences.

I'd be inclined to believe it's real, but of course it's not my money.

Here is a video that shows a fake Ti-lock compared to the real thing.

Well i’ll be darn’d. Now I’ve seen of a fake Ti-lock. As a guy who really dislikes fakes but likes to buy 2nd hand, I wish the fakes didn’t exist. At least the markings on that fake are deliberately different than the real thing so you can spot it.

You should take down the video link since the video tells where to buy the fake at 20-30 secs.
