Just finished this featherweight Pikal made of .095 thick 6al-4V Titanium with carbide applied to edge. It weights hardly anything even with a sheath. Drilled for a small teklok and designed to be worn near centerline with handles canted downwards at an angle. Thin and ultralight! My kind of knife :D:thumbup:

Nice Ban. How are you getting the carbide on the edge? Are you using the Rocklinizer?

Thanks Ray. I can't afford a Rocklinizer at the moment so I opted for the Carbidizer from Travers. Works pretty well so far. I am sure it is not as fast nor powerful as the Rocklinizer but it does the job of embedding carbides onto Titanium. I am looking into another more powerful unit which is suppose to be very close to the Rocklinizer for increased speed.

Looks great!! Regarding the modified pikal lagriffe per our pm's, is it possible to do it in this setup?

You know, somehow, I knew it was only a matter of time before you did this :D  Looks great man! The toothy edge will work well for something with this purpose too.

Are you asking about a Pikal Lagriffe in Ti? I still would need to drill large holes. I think I am just going to send that Pikal Lagriffe design to have it waterjet.

Or are you asking about your blunt tip reverse edge with this sort of handle and design?

well, still looking for a naked knife with holes and blunt tip

That might happen soon. I am scheduled to talk with a local waterjet place sometime next week. If all goes well I may have some naked reverse edge blanks.
