Alright Ladies and Germs..........here is your "How To" for identifying the elusive Sample Marked Bump. I am sorry for the quality of the pics. I take nice pics in full outside light but my work schedule and the time change makes that impossible. If anyone needs more info or better pics just let me know and I will see what I can do.
No pic but the most obvious place to start is that the Sample Bump has the word SAMPLE where the s/n usually is.
*** for all pics the order is Sample, Regular, Sample, Regular ***
Note that the Sample marked Bump has the older style of blade.
Note that the blade sits higher in the closed position on knives with the newer blade grind.
Note that on the open and closed position that the Sample marked Bump has thicker and less contoured titanium scales.
Note the gold anodize in the lock release cut out on the Sample marked Bump. Also, note that it is absent on the regular Ti Bump.
