What I am looking for: Titanium case and band, date, chronograph, possibly with an alarm (I don't need 10th of a second so an alarm would be nice), rotating bezel is not a deal breaker but wouldn't mind having one. As for price I hope to stay under $350. What I have seen so far that I like a St. Moritz Titan II from Russell's for men and a Seiko SNA139 that I've seen in town and like as well as SNA067 and SNA069 I've found on the net. Do the watch gurus here have any suggestions on any of those or any others I have overlooked? Any favored online shops? I have been looking at wristwatch.com and princetonwatches.com

Thanks

Todd

Here you go:

Poljot Titanium watches seem to be right up your alley.

Ti case and bracelet, date, and chrono function. A variety of styles, no more than $250.

No alarm or rotating bezel, though.

If it matters, it's a mechanical watch instead of a quartz. Some people (myself included) much prefer to wear a real mechanical.

In my experience Poljot quality is world class, and their watches stand up well to comparisons to the big-name Swiss brands.

I've ordered more than a few things from the linked site, and their service and reliability is exemplary. You should definately give Poljot a look.

I've developed a real love for analog/digital combinations. My favorite is the Citizen Skyhawk Titanium.

It is far and away the most accurate watch I've ever owned. (This thing has a thermocouple that corrects for the affect of temperature on the oscillating crystal.) The Skyhawk has a nice set of features, including a chronograph, a countdown timer, and three alarms.

You may also want to check out the St. Moritz Fomrat 2Ti.

Good luck!

Good Evening All-

Nabok, you can visit TimeZone to conduct all sorts of research. It's one of my favorites on the Web.

Thanks all, I hadn't really considered a mechanical watch, but those Poljot, look pretty good, even with the Titanic thing going on. How durable is the Skyhawk? I did notice the St. Moritz Fomrat 2Ti, possibly latter for a little dressier watch. My cheep Freestyle analog/digital has held up amazingly well for a cheep watch. I will try to spend a little time digging through the TimeZone this weekend. Hopefully I can find the one watch that fits me without quite so much trial and error as is went through with knives before settling an a Sebenza.
