What makes titanium so grippy?

In general, I much prefer other handle materials, such as G10 to metal. My steel handled knives, e.g. are not at all comfortable.

The titanium on my Seb Insigno, otoh, feels warm and grippy, very, very nice.

Is this just CRK use of the metal?

If not, why does titanium feel so much better to the hand, than other metals?

It's probably the bead blasting that lends to the grippiness you are referring to.

The grip is coming from the bead blasting, likely. Titanium has less thermal conductivity than most other metals.

The gentlemen above are correct.

If you were to polish the titanium it'd probably be just as slippery as stainless steel.
The Sandblasted or Beadblasted finishes add a lot of traction.

CRK uses sandblasting I believe.
