I picked it up on Thursday night after a hellishly long wait. The wait was worth it though.

I am not a swordsman (yet), so I am not going to give a review like I am one. However, I know beauty when I see it. The blade is smoothly tapered to the tip both in width and thickness, and flat-sided to the edge. Once drawn, the blade seems bigger than the scabbard.

The balance seems quite lively and is about four inches in front of the guard. When I pick it up it certainly seems to want to do as I say, that is, it doesn't fight me.

The handle provides me with a two-handed grip with room to spare, and is quite comfortable. The swells in the handle help me to hold on better.

that is very nice...dont stop with the one pic...close ups and more....

Note the tasteful scrollwork on the front of the guard:

Also note the sharpening artifacts along the edge of the blade. I don't have a full-blown image editor installed on this machine yet... :)

And last but not least:

For now, I am not quite satisfied with these pics, but they give a good idea of what the Tibetan is like. I will do something better a bit later.

I am quite fond of this sword already. :)

Please feel free to use any of these images on the HI website. You may also crop and resize them as you see fit. If you need any more just ask. :)

Yobbos, maybe Uncle Bill, Beoram, Manoucher, or someone else could fill us in on the history of this design. Perhaps this is one of Bura's own adaptations?
