No, it's single edged. I have one like it with carved handle, but the chandan on this is so stunning I'm almost sorry! (Mine is about 14 oz. lighter though, so this is quite a piece of steel.) What a gorgeous blade.

I got it, but it hasn't arrived yet. I will take pictures if I can find the time and privacy.

It's funny. I thought this looked like the longest Tibetan Sword yet. At least I hadn't seen one this long in the DOTD.

I knew there was a long and short version of this sword, but I didn't think the long one was 36".

But lo!, I check out the HI marketplace, and there it is. Standard item, long version, 36", but with a shorter handle.

Sure is purty. I like the proportions and handle shape/color on this one better than any other Tibeten Sword I have seen pictures of. ("of which I have seen pictures" if you don't like dangling prepositions)
