Hi,
Did you ever get any information on the "tico" switchblade? I just got tico humpback with same patent number as your knife but can't find any information on them.
Thanks
Ken
Are you sure it's actually a switchblade? A Google search indicates that Tico produced manual stilettos, including some with false buttons. A "false button" stiletto looks like a switchblade, but has no spring, and the button is just for show.
I don't know yet to be honest with you. I just bought this from an auction. I should have it sometime soon. I will let you know when I get it.
I also read that tico did not produce any autos either. So I guess if it is an auto. Then someone installed a spring to make it an automatic. I guess that's why the knife has a finger nail notch on the blade. I didn't know this until after I bought the knife. I thought I had a rare find. Thank God I didn't pay too much for it.
I appreciate the information. I'll post some photos when I get in the mail.
