I'm wondering if the pull on this knife will become smoother with age.
When I open and close it the pull isn't very smooth like my Case knives.
I've tried cleaning the joints and working it open and shut but it is still
I'd describe it as kind of notchy. The fit and finish of the knife is great.

Try flooding the joint with oil, and then blowing it out with canned air. Repeat a few times

This old video from Tony Bose will work, but You will risk pulling the pivot pin into the bolsters a bit making it more visible. Try flushing it out as Jack mentioned first.

The pull isn't heavy and I don't know if I'd want to go pounding on a knife blade with a hammer lol

I have an old Queen made Winchester Moose knife that I would almost risk hammering it. It's never been used. The spear blade while having a heavy
pull isn't too bade but the clip blade is a pain. I'm almost afraid to open and close it for fear of cutting my finger to the bone. I've tried all the tricks I've read about on here except hitting it
with a hammer. All to no avail.
