My knife arrived yesterday and I was surprised at how sharp it was out of the box. I reached over and grabbed a piece of paper and it sliced. It felt like it was tugging so I grabbed the strop and black and green compound. After a few minutes on the leather it felt even better through the paper. It felt like maybe there was a bur on one blade that was going to need more attention but I wanted to go play with it. The next thing that really had me impressed was the size of the knife I wanted something that would fit nicely in my front pocket without realizing it was there, but not so small it felt like a toy. Nice mix of size and function.
Being my first traditional knife I wasn't sure what to expect. I have a drawer full of ESEE, BRKT, and custom skinners. Nothing like this. I cannot stop looking at it. I wasn't sure if I was going to feel like I had to baby it. That's not me. I use the hell out of my knives. After playing with this knife for the last 24 hours this one is going to be no different. It will serve its purpose well of being a front pocket knife. I think it's beautiful.
