Hi!

Thought I´d show my latest work. It´s a knife with a blade in AEB-L grinded by Thomas Löfgren, one of the top knifemakers in Sweden. Handle in stabilized birch, I choosed this for the "tigerstripes" in the pattern. 5mm silver in the guard and alternative ivory that I have done a scrimshaw of an old sketch of a tiger that I made for my wife many years ago. Tin inlays that are filed down slightly, and black spacers.

Thanks for looking!

A beautiful knife. I think even my wife would like that one!

Hi!

Thank you for your kind words! In that case you should keep your eyes open on the sales market, as it will be for sale in the next few days. :D

I could not help it, I needed to do a scrim on the other side as well. It´s a tiger with cubbs if you don´t see it :D

Both sides scrim.

The stripes in that birch are Screamin! Your scrimshaw is very, very good. I suppose that one will be for display only?

I would love to be able to buy a knife like that. Unfortunately Australian customs have some VERY strange rules, (that are also somewhat variable), and one of those rules is that they won't, most of the time, let knives into the country that have a swedge. They regard this as something that can be sharpened thus making a two edged blade which they regard as a dagger which is illegal. Yes, exceptionally stupid but that describes Australian customs! :grumpy:

That´s really up to the buyer I think. It´s built for being used, then If it will be displayed on the stand (that will be included) in between, that´s good for it´s also built for being seen :)

The sheath is in the making right now, it will have (I hope) the same pattern in color as the birch, like discrete tiger stripes.

Yes, I have heard of their rules, even some types of wood is restricted if I understand it right.
