Just finished up a santoku that I made for one of my best friends for his wedding. His spirit animal is the tiger, and his wife's the finch. This particular blade is 3/32" O1 from Aldo, blade is something like 9", and handle is my handle design, bocote finished to 1200 grit with nickel silver pins. The artwork on the blade was done by my wife, and then I etched it in with PCB Etchant, and did a final polish. Knife needs some work, but I am really happy with how well the artwork etch turned out, and I think my friend will be pleased. It's a bit different from stuff that I usually see, so I thought I'd share. Cheers!
