Something a little different and for sure one of a kind.I have a friend who works for the Kitasho Company in Seki City Japan. He forged and ground the blade for me from VG10.It has 45 folds and is considered a raindrop pattern with a hardness of 58.I wanted something that kind of flowed with the lines of the blade so I chose a (expensive) sperm whale tooth.I also have the original paper work from 1959 for the sale of the tooth. To make a long story short during WWII England and the US assembled a group of Gurkhas called the Tiger Gurkhas. They were so vicious that they were disbanded by the US and England. So to represent them I scrimshawed a tiger on the handle. So goes the story on my knife I just completed.

I tried to google Tiger Gurkhas without success. Hope you'll could help, pretty please ;)

Sorry mohd, but i'm going to have to remove the links to the for sale item, as it doesnt belong here.
Anyone wishing to find the original post may find it by clicking on the little arrow beside R.Carpenters name.

As far as the "Tiger Gurkhas", I believe this article to be about them.

It could also have to do with the Dogra Regiment which has the Tiger as it's insignia, whom also fought in the Malayan Conflict.

Very few Armies were ever able to strike fear into the hearts of the Japanese Infantry.
These Gurkhas gave them Nightmares.

Ninjas hate Gurkhas. :D

My kinda guy's.

From what I understand the Japanese just lost their heads over these guys!
