So, has tiger hide canvas gone away? I haven't seen it as an option in quite a while. Maybe even since the game wardens.

I have heard that regarding snakeskin only. Did Busse indicate this same thing applied to tiger hide?

I've never seen Tiger Hide offered as a user selectable option. It has typically been reserved for use on LE's and some one offs. The last LE I believe it was available on was the Tank Buster. As Demonic stated, it has likely gone the way of the dodo like Snakeskin and Green Linen.

Those particular tigers are now on the endangered species list.

Haha. but seriously why can't the process be duplicated, or is it that the maker does not want to duplicate it?

I SOOOOO Wish I'd known about Busse when this stuff was around! :grumpy:
The tiger and the green micarta are my favorites of the fabrics!!! :D

I did score a KDSH with green micarta and it's my prize ax!!!!!!!!

Unless you scored some special variant at a show which has never been seen in a ganzaaa, that's probably just regular ole black canvas micarta, which looks greenish sometimes when dry (my Rattle Hawk is like this). Best way to tell is to wet it down.

It came from a custom knife reseller, so I don't know where it came from originally. I'll have to do that and check. It looks REALLY green when it's dry.

Post some good close up pictures. Green Linen micarta has a much finer look than canvas micarta does. Here are a couple of Green Linen Micarta. The second one is a high contrast Green Linen that is a bit scarcer than the top one.

If you want to check out some great looking Busse handles (and Busse knives in general), check out Ken Lunde's Busse knife wallpaper pages found here: http://lundestudio.com/bussecombat.html

A lot of great shots in there of some amazing knives and handles.

Sorry for the really bad pics!!! One of these days I'll learn how to play with a dang camera. One thing I love about the Tiger hide is just how nice the grips look wet, oiled or dry. But another one of the special grip pattern is the SNAKE. I just received this GW today and man what a beaut!!!:D Me loves some SNAKE;)
