Hi all,

Were production Meaner's and Warden's ever made with tiger scales? I picked up a tiger Active Duty and would like her to have a shorter and taller friend...cause I like em in all shapes and sizes...;)

Thanks!

GW's were released in satin & black coated blades w/ tigerhide micarta, Leaner Meaners were released in satin & tigerhide. These MrLr's in this combo were the LE numbered version. I'm not sure about Meaners.

Wow! That's the brightest black tiger GW handle I've ever seen! The tigerhide micarta handles on all the ones I've seen are much more muted, even when treated with oil (tung or mineral, either). Just luck? Any special treatment?
On another note to NetShock, the satin/tiger GW is just about my favorite all-around GW - it's a .17 satin blade which makes it a bit more stout that my .14 slicers (GL, LE), but not as thick or rough as my .20 coated GWs (muddy, lep, black tiger). I recommend the Satin/Tigerhide GW to you highly. Good Hunting!
Cheers to all,
"Bloody Bill"

Right on, thanks to all.

On another note I've called it "tiger", but I guess the real name for what I have in mind is snakeskin, is that correct? Like the MrS in Ken44's picture above.
