Tiger shark question

Have any of you guys ever tried to sharping the clip point on the tiger shark? I was thinking of taking a file to mine but am not sure if it would be worth it. Is the steel hardend through the whole blade so it could hold the edge or does the hardness vary from edge to spine? Thanks for any help.
 
Sharpening the clip has been done... with varying degrees of success.
Please remember: it will void your warranty :grumpy:...
That being said, stainless steel is not normally differentially heat treated, so I would think the knife is fully hardened throughout.
Just make sure, if you use power tools:eek: that you keep the blade cool.
Others can offer better advice, mine is cautious...;)
 
Before you sharpen the 2nd edge on your Tigershark (or on any knife) first make sure that a knife with a double-edge (2 sharp edges) is legal where you live.
