Nice comparison.

Tiger grip is more "locked in", but the 8 grip is much more pocket friendly. Tiger blade is "low slung" relative to the grip, putting the upswept point on approximately the same plane as the pivot. 8 blade is more in line with the grip so the upswept tip is above the pivot and more in line with the top of the grip.
 
The Tiger is awesome, no doubt about it. But I'm in love with my Super CQC-8...heck of great knife!
 
That shot of the Tiger trinity makes me feel like I need to spend more money. Glad that OD is no longer around, so I don't need to fight it

I believe that the '8 is a better design because it is more versatile with its' non-constraining handle that works no matter how it is picked up.

If I had to choose one (folding) knife, for everything, forever, it would be a CQC-8.

That's why I slightly prefer the CSF to the Tiger all else even, but the goodness of the OD's G10 on the Tiger I have makes it impossible for me to favor one over the other. I'll be first in line if Mr. E ever offers up an OD CSF.
 
I'm kind of digging the rear of the Tiger in pocket(The 8 is a very universal handle though), because Emersons ride high it actually makes it easy to grab out of the pocket. Not really low profile, but you don't carry an Emerson expecting it to disappear in the pocket:)
