I had to get some frustrations out so I decided to hand pound a verrrrrrrry low count damascus blade a few weeks ago. I finally got to finish her up. It was three pieces of 1095 put together with some thin L6 with a few twists. Did a clay quench and it came out pretty interesting (I'm easily amused too though. :D ) The pics don't really capture it much - I have a hard enough time getting pictures of hamons. :)

Thanks for checking her out.

It's certainly a weird looking pattern but I definitely like the looks of the knife.

Hey, send that one along with my other one and I will be glad to test her out for ya! :)

Nice, i like it. Looks like Strider's Tiger stripes pattern but this one has natural stripes instead....:D The name definately fits it...;)

Eric.

Man, you're moving ahead in leaps and bounds. If thats what you do when you're upset, hell, I'd hate to say it ... :p :D

Interesting to see the differences in where the 1095 and the L6 hardens with the clay. Thats a lesson in metallurgy all by itself.

Oh BTW, I WANT THAT KNIFE !! :D :D :D I'm serious. :D :D Jason.
