I recently acquired my first SOG knife (a Seal Pup), and I would just like to say how pleased i am with my purchase. I plan on using my Seal Pup for hunting but am looking for a larger blade for hiking/camping adventures. Keeping in mind that I already have the Seal Pup, should i purchase a Tigershark, or a Seal 2000?

Try and find yourself one of the older carbon steel versions of the Tigershark. You won't be disappointed. Probably wouldnt be disappointed in the new, stainless version either, but the carbon steel one is better.

The Tigershark certainly has a loyal following here, but I'd recommend handling both and seeing which you prefer...

...since you already have the small Pup, go for the big Shark... :D

Your Seal Pup has a blade of about 4&3/4 inches.

The Seal 2000 has a blade of about 7 inches, and the Tigershark has a blade of about 9 inches...You decide which one you want. (BTW...I like the handle of the Tigershark the best of all 3, and it "feels" the best to me, with excellent balance.).
