I JUST GOT MY TIGERSHARK IN THE MAIL THE OTHER DAY, AND THE SHEATH IS HORRIBLE. I CALLED RON UP AND HES TAKING CARE OF IT FOR ME.I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN TELL ME HOW RUGGED THIS KNIFE IS SO I KNOW WHAT I CAN AND CANT DO WITH IT?

THANKS "D"

I've go a couple of smaller SOG fixed blades. They are sturdy well built factory knives that have held up well for me. They arrived sharp and are easy to take care of/sharpen. The Tigersharks I've seen appear very robust and should stand considerable punishment. That being said it's a knife not a hammer or prybar.

Take that Tigershark out and look at again. See how thick the blade is? It is a very "rugged" knife. The steel (AUS-6, I believe) is soft-enough not to chip easily, but also hard-enough to hold a pretty good edge, and it's also fairly rust-resistant. I have 2 of 'em, and both seem to hold up very well, but then, I'm not one to abuse my knives.:).

I'm sure you could take glockman's words, but could you not use all capitalization?
That's consider yelling/shouting on the net...
Thought you might have hit the caplocks accidentally.
If it's AUS6, I don't think it'll chip easily. It does take quite a good edge. My Spyderco Ladybug uses Aus 6 and that thing gave me a 3mm cut (I was careless) already

That is some good AUS 6...it's been tempered to be a lot harder than say the CRKT AUS 6M stuff...but it's also not hard enough that it's a bitch to sharpen...

This is my limited experience with the Navy seals 2000...
