Tighe Coon cutting performance?

I'm looking at getting a Brian Tighe coon. I have never owned a Brian Tighe knife before and am wondering about its cutting performance. I also never had a knife that had machined grooves on the secondary bevel. My question is- do the machined grooves on the blade interfere with the slicing ability of the knife (hangups)? I am ignorant to this type of design and curious to other people experience with it.

Thanks

I have a mini Tighe-Rod and it is an excellent slicer, no hangups.

I have the large Nirk Tighe which has the same fluting on the blade. The fluting does not seem to affect the cutting ability of the blade at all. In fact, I love the knife.

More Brian Tighe knives are definitely in my future. :)
