Tighe Stick vs Myrtle : Which would you rather have ?

I find these two knives to be both cool and unusual.

So which one would you pick if you could only pick one ?

Neither looks very utilitarian, so in my view the guy who wants one of these is into it for the funky flavor and subjective cool factor. And that's a totally personal choice, as in "what's your favorite color". If the two were laying on the table at the SHOT show, and Mr. Sal told me I could keep one, I'd go with the Myrtle because despite its funky blade, it looks like something one could EDC. I could see myself growing weary of the Stick pretty quickly. That protruding Spydie hole would be wide in the pocket, and the blade shape is not well suited for anything I require of a knife. But if the goal is not to carry the knife, but to fondle it while watching ESPN, then either would suffice.

But if forced, I'd go with the Myrtle as it is more utilitarian and EDC-centric.

I like the slight hook in the Myrtle's blade. And the marbled CF looks sweet.

But the sheer uniqueness of the Tighe's looks have me interested. Plus , I don't have many knives in S90V.

Myrtle for sure! I've wanted to get one and have it reground into a straight wharnie

Myrtle. The extreme trailing point of the Tighe doesn't look useful for my applications.

Myrtle here as well. Don't like the look of the tighe stick and the blade shape seems more useful.

I was just deciding between these two myself and stumbled on this thread. I think they both look pretty cool. A couple weeks ago when I first started thinking seriously about them I also noticed the Battlestation was discontinued. This blade shape is very similar to the Tighe Stick IMO and I always found it intriguing, but didn't think the handle looked very comfortable. That was the big question I had on the Tighe Stick as well. Anyways, I found a good deal on KC and pulled the trigger on the Battlestation. I got it and I must say I'm impressed. The handle is great and it's definitely a good deal at their price. Great quality. All of this is MY OPINION of course. For my usage, I rotate folders regularly depending on what I think I may be needing to use them for. There are times I have to look for something to do. I appreciate simply looking at and holding this knife. I want to show everyone because I think it looks so cool in hand. That being said, I was leaning towards the Myrtle a couple weeks ago, but now I'm heavily leaning Tighe Stick. It's larger so I can't see the handle being an issue...for how I will use it at least. My biggest question now is how does the titanium handle hold up over time....does it get snail trails etc? It looks like it would. I still hope to get the Myrtle too, it just got beat out this time around.

Cheers guys. And if anyone knows how the Tighe Stick handles look over time, please post some pics and let me know. Thanks!

Tighe Stick for me, the Myrtle is nice but maybe a bit plain and small. I like the semi-Persian blade and the pattern machined into the scales. Plus Brian is Canadian so we have that to seal the deal.

I had a Myrtle but traded it. Just didn't do it for me, looked cool but I found the blade shape to be not so great for my needs. Never had a Tighe Stick but I had a Mamba which is similar I guess but it is not a great EDC either. They are for sure both unusual and cool looking, if I had to choose between the two I would choose the Myrtle just because the Ti/marble CF was pretty slick.

I definitely prefer the Tighe Stick. I'd buy it in a flash if Spyderco had brought it out at a reasonable price by the simple expediency of avoiding totally uncalled for bling like the carved titanium handle.
