Today I got my BK2 in the mail, and the sheath is really tight. So instead of heating it up with a hair dryer, which seems to be the standard answer, I went out and took one of the rivets out of the sheath (the one on the blade side of it). It still locks in really nicely, and comes out alot easier. Now I think Moose might chime in and say to put some hardwear and a spacer in there also. I most likely will, but that will wait till tomorrow when I go back to ace for some things I forgot the other day.

What do we think? Pictures needed?

Flexxx, I'm sure alot of folks on these forums are tired of me showing my ass, I gotta play it a little straight for a while.:D

Congrats on your first B2. I may be buying another one just to get the sheath ($28 sheath only vs $56 for knife and sheath).

good pictures :)

voided your warranty though with that rivet mod ;)

its like popping the cherry

the 1st time it is very tight, but the more you pull it out and put it in the better it starts to feel...

Mine is fairly new and very tight as well - not really 1 hand operable as it is now.

MWTIC - also report if this helps reduce / eliminate the sheath dulling the edge.

Decided to go yank out that rivet. Much more gooder.

with practice, you'll get the hang of one hand :)

yeah, rivet out. now, you can probably take a small screw, and a nyloc and make an adjustable tensioning system now :) if you wanna go all out, get a nylon screw as well... yar.

My new BK2 sheath was well fitted but not so tight that the blade wasn't easily extracted. I am glad that I got one that didn't need any mods. Haven't had time to use it yet, but I think I will like it.
