Tighten up a Schrade folder?

I have an Old Timer - several, in fact - that I like fine; good fit and finish, but the one thing I'm wondering is whether it's possible to tighten up a folder with Swinden pin design so that it will snap with a bit more authority. I have a notion that with a thru-pin design, like Camillus', you can sometimes accomplish something by tapping on the pins with a hammer, or maybe squeezing the bolster in question in a vice.

Any suggestions?
