Tightening A Folder

Hello everyone. I purchased a CRKT Shizuk Noh Ken a couple months ago. It has seen a decent amount of light utility use and the blade is getting just a little too much wiggle room. All the other folders I have owned can simply be tightened with an allen wrench. I assumed this one would be the same, but it isn't. Is there another tool I can use? I apologize for my ignorance. Thanks in advance.

No problem! I'm pretty sure what you're looking for is a Torx bit driver. They're quite common in modern folding knives. I'd invest in a set of them if you plan on doing basic maintenance to your knife (adjusting pocket clip, disassembling and reassembling, etc).

Just looked up what a torx screw looks like (still gaining familiarity with tools) and that looks like it. I will have to pick up a small tool and see if that works. Thanks!

Torx T6, T8 and T9. Those 3 will handle 90%+ of all the knives screws on the market today. T6 are generally for scales and spacer screws. T8, most common for pivot screws, occasionally you will run across a T9 pivot screw. Production folders that is. Which tool brand to buy? Wiha, period. Oh, coat them lightly with oil and they will be the last torx drivers you will ever buy again.
