I bought a hibben designed scorpion fantasy blade at Ebay. Got a good deal, very clean, but, its a little loose. I'm looking for advice on how i might tighten it, if possible.
Thanks

i did a search for the knife and what exactly is loose? i see a lot of things on that knife that can be loose. take some pictures with something pointing to what is loose.

welcome to the forum too. you might want to fill out your profile so we know a little more about you.

every thing you see that can be loose, is loose, not a great deal. half a mil of clicking. just thought there might be a way to turn the tail and tighten it or something. I'm not too sure on uploading pics, i'm looking into that. Thanks for your response.

The easiest way to post pics here is from a photo hosting site like www.photobucket.com which will give you a URL for each pic. You just copy and paste that URL here. (Use the bottom URL of the four they offer you.)

you might try some superglue if there is no visible way to tighten it. i could call gil and ask him :D

I would recommend epoxy to be certain, however I would strongly suggest never doing more than handling the knife. I suspect you would get hurt if you tried to use it or swing it around.

Thanks for all the replies. Its no big deal really since it only clicks a bit when i'm skinning rhinos or whittling netsuke figures...
Actually, it just sits on the shelf as i gaze in admiration, so it seldom gets handled. Does any one else have a hibben scorpion? I'm wondering if they may all be a little clicky with all the extra blades and stuff. Thanks again.

I don't think I'd have the guts to pick that thing UP without spectra gloves. That thing LOOKS like an ER trip waiting to happen.

so, after a little research, i discovered the knife is a rat tail tang. so i screwed up the courage to twist the devil tail and after a little work it started to turn. i removed it and placed a little washer/spacer i had made from .5 mil. styrene. screwed the pommel piece back on and viola, tighter than a little momma. thanks again for all the responses.
