Why dont we ever discuss TiKnives? Is it because they are so new? They seem pretty cool to me. Besides not having a clip, they look to have some nice designs.

Or does Speed Tech look very similar to TiNives?

Which came first?

I think they actually were out before Speedtech. Personally, they seem a bit overpriced when compared to what's out there. I understand they have all these small ball bearings at the pivot too. That seems like it would be a problem collecting lint & dirt and a real bear to clean. I sent for the info packet and the damascus ones were $1000.00.

IMHO, it seemed a little presumptuous for them to come out of the gate with a $1000 folder. It's left a bad taste in my mouth ever since.

It's kind of premature to ask those prices without building some kind of reputation first. I can see paying that much for a highly customized SpeedTech or Sebenza, but only because they have a track record that I can look back upon. They have me convinced that their standard model is worth $250 - $400, so I can see them working up a (very) special at the $1000 price point.

If any new company puts a brand new design in front of me, and asks for $1000, I'm sorry, but I'm just not biting. Additionally, I'll look sidewise (and I do) at everything they offer in the future.

Good Point brian, i'm not crushed to get a TI when i could get a HALO III for half the money

After seeing a TI knife at a Gun and Knife show,I was not impressed at all.Fit and Finish was lousy, and TI knives are not anywhere near the same class as Speedtech.Speedtech is a unique, high quality knife unlike any other. My two cent's and then some

I seen a TiNives at a show also.I was less than impressed. It was an auto. The blade was loose and the finish was'nt that good,at least not as good as a Sebenza or Speedtech, which are outstanding.
