Originally $29.99; now til Saturday only on sale for $9.99!
I picked one up and plugged in 4 D-cells. Had to burp it for the first few seconds after turning it on. A few moderate slaps to stop it from flickering and then played with the brightness adjustment knob and it has worked fine ever since(had it on for over 2 hours since then). It's a little flimsy(wouldn't want to drop it with the D-cells inside, because it looks like it might crack the lantern body)but for under $10.00 I've picked up a few for Christmas stocking stuffers. With fresh batteries should last approx. 14 hours to 50% brightness(estimated?). Decent light pattern; good for those blackouts, etc.
