I have a Tim Britton Framelock in BG42. He's a nice guy, and his wife is nice and helpfull also. I liked them both immediately when meeting them. I was a lot happier with the knife untill I found my framelock or it's duplicate in knifekits.com. Now I'm wondering.
The knife itself is ok. He claims the BG42 is RC 58 and treated by Bos. There is no Bos stamp, and I've never heard of BG42 being RC'd that low even when used in production models. I don't know what to say now.
I tried to e-mail him, I got no response from him at all, and it wasn't even a complaint. It was asking him if he would use a certain steel.
You can see my knife here at

It looks like "FL-25X" with black canvas linnen micarta, which is an option. It has nylon washers which I thought strange at the time. The only difference is 4 extra small screws in the micarta on the kit. Other than that the screws, thumbstud, everything is EXACT, except mine doesn't have a clip, but a cheap nylon sheath. It does have his name electric pencil engraved on the blade.
I really liked the guy when I met him but seeing a $16 duplicate of my knife kind of bothers me. See ya, Joe
