2003- Oldie but a goodie. Is that even old? I picked this up in a trade after wanting one of them for years. The ivory is a little better in person and I will get a pro image sometime. The scales are not perfectly matched but its ok with me.

Nice one Jon, congratulations.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

you are fortunate to be able to own this piece, Jon. Nice score

Blade looks a little small for the handle, but a Nice folder!

Not so sure I'd have made that trade ;) But I do understand...

Recently, through a discussion about collections and makers, I learned Tim and I have something in common... I did get to meet him briefly once, along with Larry Fuegen, and they both shared information freely, and let me handle their knives...

Thanks for posting this Jon... Both Tim and Larry are gentleman and they have a strong work ethic and aesthetic sense of design... The push dagger by Larry in your collection is among my favorites... Easily in the top three.... It was great seeing this earlier example of Tim Hancock's work... A folder no less....

Best Regards, Rich Slaughter

LOL Don. You win. I agree with you completely. I have no case except that I just needed it and its awesome anyway despite the stub. :)

If you ever want to make me a folder with a lock release like that I would absolutely be thrilled. I'd love to see you do some carving again.

Thanks every one.

Very nice folder Jon.
Fine design, very desirable materials and classic Hancock looks.
Will fit nicely in your fine collection.

Jon,

That's a nice looking folder, you don't see many Tim Hancock folders on the market.

Tim's Ladder Damascus is among the best.

Jim
