The idea for this hunter came from an old Blade magazine cover that had a picture of a super nice W.D. Pease folder. I looked at that folder and immediately thought of a small hunter shaped like it. Here is Tim Hancock's version of my idea. Blade is 3.75" from the tip to the bolster and is forged, cryo treated 52100. Polished stainless bolsters and primo ironwood for the slabs on a full tapered tang. Stainless pins and lined thonghole. Overall length is 8.25".

Tim makes such clean knives. I make it a point to chat with him at every show.

The pictures of knives you post are outstanding.., and I don't think I've actually ever mentioned it.., but thanks!

Very nice piece...

Wow!

I just got back from taking a class at Mike Vagnino's shop, and Mike has spent lots of time in Tim's shop... I am proud to say that some of the skill that went into that knife should be showing up in my work soon.

I had to pick my jaw off of the floor !

I think that several others have pretty much summed it up ~ CLEAN !

But. . .I must add. . .BEE-UUU-TEE-FULL ! ! ! :D

Met Tim at the Arizona Knife Collectors show last Oct in Phoenix, and was amazed at his work, he had 2!! Price daggers and a couple of other art knives, all earmarked for the AKI, I can just say one thing: everything I have seen from Tim is first rate, I am jealous!!!
