This is my 1,000th post on Bladeforums.com and I wanted to make it something special.

I just received a "Timeless" lockback folder from Tim Hancock, MS. It completes a set with my Hancock Dogbone Bowie that I got earlier this year.

It has a 2 3/4" blade of a smaller version of the Turkish Twist Damascus to match the Dogbone and is 6 5/8" overall. It has Walrus Ivory scales with nickle silver liners and vine file work.

I had Jim Cooper photograph it and thinks that the images look great:

Here is the Dogbone photo that I posted earlier this year:

Here is Coop's photo of the set:

That folder is absolutely beautiful. The set together is stunning. Thank you so much for sharing them.

Classic lock back design taken to Tim Hancock perfection.
Coop's images look fantastic as usual.
Congrats on both masterpieces, Jim !
..what a 1,000th post.

What a great idea for a matched set - and what a beauitful pair of knives resulted. Congrats Jim!

Spectacular combination and beautiful workmanship, enjoy them in the best of health!

I just don't know how you could improve that set.

It really stirs a feeling in the gut.......( I guess that would be called Envy....mingled with a real appreciation of the beauty). The fluted lock bar takes it that extra step to my eye. That dogbone bowie is one I have looked at time and again, when it was posted earlier.

Wow. That folder is incredible! And the Bowie ain't too shabby either!

Nice pair.

Kind regards,

Jos

Hi Jim,

Everything about these knives exuded Mastersmith quality. They truly were a pleasure to work with.

Tim ALWAYS produces eyegrabbing traditionals. I loved the solid action on this folder. Very gratifying lock, unlock, and close. Sweeeeet.

Thank you!

Coop

Thanks guys for all the nice comments.

I forgot to mention that the Hancock Dogbone Bowie won "Best of Show" at the 2012 ABS Expo in San Antonio earlier this year.
